Our
politicians tell us the economy’s great
We only have to stand around and wait and wait and wait
To get back half the money that they’ve given away
To all the guys who stole from us just yesterday
|
Entitlements
for elderly are under attack
Don’t you think its time these guys are cut a little slack?
Wars and death are funded at a rate we’ve never seen
But the aged can’t get treated for a ruptured spleen
|
We
don’t need no healthcare, who really likes to eat?
Why go off to college when there won’t be jobs to seek?
We’re running out of money so they’ll print some more --
While the Pres was on vacation who was minding our store?
|
(Don’t
let them) Shake us, break us, or tear us down
Shout your indignation out to Washington town
They tell us nothin’s wrong but we know that’s not right,
‘Cause their story has the substance of a shadow in the night
|
Panic,
shock, distraction are the weapons they use
Don’t leave us any time to see we’re bein’abused
Our rights are being stolen, along with our cash
To fill-up the pockets of their buddy fat cats
|
It’s
more than just your money, it’s your liberty at stake
Total class warfare’s what they undertake
They’ve mobilized the military in-country
To quell the noisy peasants -- hey, that’s you and me!
|
We
have to speak up now and condemn all their lies
They’re treating citizens like we’re foreign spies
We have to move fast before they vote out our votes
Or the final coup de grace will be a knife across our throats
|
(Don’t
let them) Shake us, break us, or tear us down
Shout your indignation out to Washington town
They tell us nothin’s wrong but we know that’s not right,
‘Cause their story has the substance of a shadow in the night

(I
think their hearts are black as a shadow in the night…)
(I think their hearts are black as a shadow in the night…)
