YOU KNOW ME SO WELL

Copyright 2012 – Robert E. Shandor

You track my movements and you watch my ways
Know where I’ve been for the past hundred days
You serve me cookies without any taste, I think
The way you make your living is a stinkin’ waste

You’re scannin’ Facebook and the Twitter feeds so you can
Syphon-off data to support your greed
Violatin’ privacy’s a dastardly deed, you know
You really should aspire to a higher creed

You’re just a stalker on the Internet who’s
Spyin’ on people that you’ve never met
You hide behind a “Marketeer” credential set while
Pushin’ all of us to take on more and more debt

Collectin’ checks from the NSA like a
Squirrel hidin’ nuts for a rainy day
You’d like to bargain with the CIA to sell them
Life stories that you harvest like hay

You sell me garbage with a smile on your face, but
The promises you make disappear without trace
You’d like to shoot my eyes full of mace so I
Can’t read the fine print ‘cause it’s such a disgrace

I know that you think you know me so well that you can
Make me buy whatever you wanta sell, well
You’re so prideful that it makes your head swell, you know,
I think that you should go straight to hell

I know that you think you know me so well that you can
Make me buy whatever you wanta sell, well
You’re so prideful that it makes your head swell, you know,
I think that you should go straight to hell
